my inspiration for this design came from Paris Cutler's Flying Hearts design from her book, Planet Cake Cupcakes.
the design itself is really straightforward: a disc of black fondant for the base which i textured with hearts (i hope the photo is close enough for you to see it) and red fondant for the face. i left the hearts to set overnight so i'll have a hard surface to draw the face. i wanted to use a bright coloured foodoodler
but i think black is more effective.it was fun!
